Paracel’s Forest Promotion Program continues to attract partner companies. This time, an agreement was signed with the Paraguayan company Forestal Azul S.A., whose properties are in the San Pedro department, in the Lima and San Pedro del Ycuamandyyú districts.

Forestal Azul S.A. will allocate 2,366 hectares to forest plantations, becoming the newest member of the Forest Promotion Program. Representing Paracel, the contract was signed by board members Agustín Alonso Zapag and Per Olofsson, while on behalf of Forestal Azul S.A., it was signed by the company’s president, Rafael Ortiz Domínguez, and vice president, Rodrigo José Aguilar León.

Through the planting of eucalyptus trees, the Forest Promotion Program aims to provide a business alternative for producers in Paracel’s area of influence, as a strategy to diversify their income.
