Yes, we have a Code of Ethics which establishes Paracel’s corporate principles and values and includes the rules that should govern all actions and behaviors of our project, its members and stakeholders, who in some way are related to the company.

Flavio Deganutti

CEO

Chemical Engineer, Master in Business Administration and Simulation and Process Optimization with emphasis on the pulp and paper industry.

He has more than 24 years of experience in the pulp business, performing in different managerial roles such as: sales, manufacturing, engineering, planning, maintenance, customer service, quality and continuous improvement.

He also has deep knowledge in performance improvement systems, organizational restructuring, negotiation and team management.

Fabiano Stein

Forestry Director

Forestry Engineer graduated from the Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil, with a master’s degree in Pulp and Paper Technology from the Federal University of Viços, MBA from the Don Cabral Foundation. With more than 20 years of experience in the areas of planning, harvesting, forest equipment maintenance, loading and transportation in the pulp industry.

For several years he served as Forestry Planning Manager and as Timber Supply Manager in other pulp industries in the region.

Gisselle Villalba

Environmental Sustainability Manager

Forestry Engineer graduated from the Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil, with a master’s degree in Pulp and Paper Technology from the Federal University of Viços, MBA from the Don Cabral Foundation. With more than 20 years of experience in the areas of planning, harvesting, forest equipment maintenance, loading and transportation in the pulp industry.

For several years he served as Forestry Planning Manager and as Timber Supply Manager in other pulp industries in the region.

Hugo Fernandes

Logistics Director

Civil Engineer, with specializations in Logistics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He also holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a specialization in Management and Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

With more than 23 years of experience in logistics in the beverage, paper, pulp, pulp, forestry, oil and gas markets.

He has worked in more than 30 projects in the development of the entire logistics chain and greenfield pulp export projects for a company in Brazil.

Latifi Chelala

Head of Communications & Social Sustainability

Bachelor in Production Technology, Master in Business Administration and Project Management with emphasis on SDGs, with specialization in Production Systems Engineering. Graduated from the Business Leadership Development Program DENDE, leading auditor of Management Systems.

She worked for eight years as Quality and Social Responsibility Manager of the company Las Tacuaras S.A. She is a university professor, member of the Board of Directors of Sistema B Paraguay and of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of ADEC.

Luciano Lafuente

Project Director

Mechanical engineer, certified in PMP (Project Management Professional) by Project Management Institute, with MBA in Project Management by Fundação Getulio Vargas GV and specialization in accounting and financial management.

With almost 20 years of experience in the cellulose and paper industry, he has worked on Greenfield projects, such as Veracel, Eldorado and Montes del Plata; and CMPC-Guaíba’s Brownfield project. He was project manager for socio-environmental forestry and mill licenses for a new cellulose line.

Marcos Kosman

CFO

Public accountant graduated from Universidad de la República -UDELAR- in Uruguay, with a master’s degree in business administration, MBA.

For 9 years he served as CFO of the southern corridor and as director of logistics projects located in Paraguay and Uruguay for the Hidrovías do Brasil group. In addition, he served for several years as chief accountant and controller at Arcelor Mittal in Montevideo.

Mariano Durán

Procurement & Supply Chain Head

Degree in International Trade.  He has a solid experience of more than 15 years in processes related to international import and export logistics, warehouse management, material requirements planning, national and international purchasing processes and procedures related to the Maquila regime.

He has worked as Supply Chain Manager, Planning & Logistics Manager and General Manager in several national industries and retail companies.

Octavio De Giacomi

Head of People & Culture

Degree in Clinical and Labor Psychology and Master in Business Administration. He has a solid trajectory managing the Human Talent area in renowned national and international companies.

He worked for 9 years as Human Resources and Quality Manager at Hidrovias do Brasil, with experience in implementing changes aimed at continuous improvement. He also has experience in training and education projects.

Om Bhatia

Senior Financial Advisor

His expertise uniquely combines the areas of finance and operations, both in the global cellulose and paper industry, as well as investment banking. He is an expert in production management, international sales and marketing, process control, information technology, strategy and corporate finance.

For the past 15 years, he worked at Goldman Sachs, Barclays and Macquarie Bank, located in New York City. He was responsible for providing solutions in commodity risk management, project finance, mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he was CFO of a pulp plant in Vancouver, Canada, where he was involved in the sale of assets to Asian companies.
